Books in Bloom

Join the Mansfield Public Library virtually for our
5th annual Books in Bloom event from
May 1st through May 15!

Since so many of us are doing our part to stay healthy and well during the Covid 19 Pandemic by staying home and/or practicing social distancing, the library staff has been working hard to provide our community with the same level of programming, just in different ways. This is certainly true of our Books in Bloom event, which is usually the type of program that requires people to come into the library to view the book displays. Because the library is currently closed, we will be bringing Books in Bloom to you virtually.

Help us celebrate Books in Bloom by checking out past beautiful book displays, that “bloomed” to life! Past book displays were designed by library staff, Teen Advisory Board, Mansfield Garden Club, QMS Book Chat Group and Helping Hands Florist in Plainville, MA.

Other activities during Virtual Books in Bloom will include the following events on the library website:

  • A Flower Hunt!Take a tour of the library website and try to find 12 flowers hidden throughout the website!
  • A gallery of past year’s displays (2019, 2018, 2017, 2016).
  • Printable coloring sheet.

There will also be weekly photo challenges in social media, weekly digital book displays, and virtual tours of beautiful gardens around the world. Don’t miss out on all these fun activities, the schedule is below!

Be well, stay safe and enjoy the blooms!
